course signConstructed on Kittling hillside overlooking the village in 1904, the course’s early development owed much to the patronage of Bamburgh Castle’s owner Lord Armstrong, but it is now owned by the Club, having been bought by the members in 1999.

Whilst not long at just over 5,600 yards off the back markers, the course is a demanding par 68. How you perform on the six par 3’s will often dictate your score, their difficulty being exampled by the 6th, an uphill 224 yard hole which warrants its Stroke Index one. Good birdie opportunities also await you however particularly on the three closing holes, where there are two par 4’s under 300 yards.
