Following the recent announcements regarding the recommencement of golf, we are now able to confirm that the above competitions will be held in the coming season. In view however of the uncertainties regarding members ability to view clubhouse notices, it will be necessary that entries this year be submitted via Email.

Arrangements are therefore as follows;

Armstrong Trophy (Singles) & McAdam Foursomes – please indicate your intention to take part by Email to Alan Patterson at providing name(s) and contact telephone number(s) for all parties involved. The closing date for entries will be Monday 5 April and the draw for the 2 events will be published on the Club website by Friday 9 April, with those involved also receiving an Email confirmation. It is anticipated that deadlines for the first rounds to be played will be the first week in May for the Armstrong and the middle of May for the McAdam. The 2020 events were cancelled in view of COVID after players had paid entrance fees, which were not refunded. In view of this no fees will be charged in 2021.

Douglas Souter (Gross) & Veterans (Nett) Trophies – these trophies are open to entry for gentlemen aged 65 or over on 1 January 2021 and take the best 2 scores from medal competitions throughout the season. Those members who wish their scores to be included again advise Alan Patterson at . This should be done before the date of the first medal competition of the season, being the Millennium Putter scheduled for Saturday 17 April. No entry fees are required.
