Golf Groups and Societies
Bamburgh Castle is a perfect getaway for societies and casual visitors, testing golfers of every level and with a friendly clubhouse serving good food.
We have a wide variety of packages and arrangements for larger groups or societies.

It is rare for tee times not to be available at some stage during the day, except Saturdays, but we’d advise early contact for very large groups or if you want to book the course for most of the day.
In all cases participants and organisers have full access to the clubhouse and practice facilities, and are made very welcome.
We have standard packages of golf and meals for groups of between 12 and 20, but as with larger groups we can arrange with discussion other combinations of golf times (although please note that our course is not suitable for playing 9 holes only) and snacks or meals.
We have golf clubs, electric trolleys and buggies for hire. (It is best to ask for these at the time of booking to ensure availability, and in case of very bad weather it is worth checking that buggies are allowed on the course that day). Trolleys are available free of charge near the first tee.
Although we don’t have a pro or pro’s shop, smaller golf accessories (eg balls tees) and items of clothing can be purchased at the bar, along with the course guides. The course has been mapped for various GPS systems such as SkyCaddy and Golfshot.
We can advise on types of challenges (eg the nearest pin) and provide necessary markers; we can also help setup or organise a competition.
Our dress code is at the casual end of smart casual. Rather than adopting rigid rules, we trust our visitors to use their common sense and respect fellow golfers. An example of this is that we allow jeans but do not want people to wear headgear in the clubhouse.
Mobile phones should not be used in the clubhouse or on the course.
Organisers should check in at the bar when they arrive. The men’s changing room is at the side of the clubhouse near the first tee. The ladies’ is at the rear of the clubhouse and needs a code for entry – the number is obtainable at the bar.
